Week 2

This is week 2 of me back at work...so sad.

This week my mom came up to take care of Kinley since we our childcare didn't have an opening until March 19th.  We are so blessed that our mothers are stepping in to help us!

On Monday, we went took our little Falcon fan to watch Daddy get his State Championship ring!  It was a pretty exciting banquet and everyone swooned over our little girl!  Doesn't she look absolutely adorable in her little Olathe South Falcon outfit and bow!

Oma even took Miss Kinley on a walk in her awesome jogging stroller!  She was bundled up in her little fur suit and looked so darn cute that we had to snap a picture after they got back!

Daddy also got to take the lead on bath time on Thursday because I had a late night meeting (I didn't get home until after 10:00 pm!).  He did an awesome job!

And because Oma did such an awesome job playing with and loving on Miss Kinley, we barely had any photos taken of the two of them together.  I guess we'll have to work on that next time!

Yes, I know today is Kinley's 3 month birthday and as soon as I hunt down my stupid camera charger, I will post about how big she has gotten and how much she has changed in the past month!

My last week...

My last week of maternity leave at home with my little angel...

We went to her first Olathe South basketball game and she got to wear her Falcon t-shirt and blue and gold hair bow.  So cute!

We went to Snow Creek and I taught Josh how to ski: (Kinley stayed home with Grandma - my practice run for Monday - 5 hours away from her, my longest so far!)

A few laughs at Grandma and Grandad's house:

A Pinterest project:

50 % off picture frame, glass removed, 3 galvanized steel sheets, and some glue and I have a magnetic board for all of the things that don't work on my stainless steel refridgerator!  Love it!
And a few last minute laughs with Miss Kinley and Oma before I head back to work. :(

OOOOOOOOklahoma...

Last weekend, Josh, Kinley, our hitchhiker (Angie) and I made our way to Oklahoma to visit my parents.  It was a horrible drive through constant rain but we were stoked to finally get there and indulge in some yummy RibCrib!  The next morning, the little man made his way into our room and into our bed to help feed Kinley!  It was adorable! (And PS I cut my hair...I love it!)

What a cheeser! :)
Cousin's bathtime - Ledger even offered to share his boat with Kinley!
Josh's Granny also lives in Broken Arrow and we got to spend a few hours with her on Saturday during Ledger's nap time.  It was really nice to get to sit down and chat with her.  We usually only see her on Thanksgiving where she has all of her family surrounding her!  We were lucky to have Kinley get one-on-one time with her Great Granny!  What a special time!

We had lots of smiles this weekend from our little angel!
Unfortunately, I didn't take too many pictures and didn't get any whatsoever of Kendell, Chris, Dad, or Millie with Kinley.  Oops.  I will do better next time!

Random Happenings

Question of the year:  What do hillbillies do in Johnson County?

That's right, shoot our bow and arrow...in our basement.

And what do hillbilly wives do in Johnson County?

Yep, watch our husbands shoot their bow and arrow in their basements.  Cool.

And because we have the cutest, most adorable baby in the world...

Sitting up like a big girl in our Bumbo seat talking to Daddy

Laying on my activity mat that I got from BoomMa and BoomPa

How cute is my outfit?  I dressed up for dinner with Grandma and Grandad!
Trying to replay a scene from a recent comedy... while watching Daddy clean the backyard.
And because I'm home with the babe and addicted to Pinterest, I decided to try to make one of my crafts.  Since the weather has been so nice, our winter carseat cover is a little too warm for our little one.  Being the crafty person that I think I am, I made a Spring, light-weight cover.  What do you think?

PS If you don't like, don't say a freaking word.  It was hard.  And I hate sewing buttons!  If only I knew some awesome FACS teachers that could help me...
