Triathlete

No, not me.

My mom has been doing mini triathlons for several years now and finally, Josh was able to work it into his schedule to take part in two of them. He was extremely excited and worked really hard training. 

The first triathlon was in Hutchinson Kansas, the Salty Dog Triathlon, where he placed 40th overall! That is pretty incredible given the fact that there were well over 250 people in the triathlon. My mom got third in her age division!

The second triathlon was a week later in McPherson Kansas, on my mom's 59th birthday. Josh placed 23rd overall and my mom placed second in her age group!

Kinley and I made the trek both weekends to be a support system for Josh and my mom, and we had a blast!

Omaha Powell Weekend

At the beginning of August, we squeezed in one last trip to Omaha with the Powell family! Kendell, Chris, Ledger and Locke met Dad, Millie, Josh, Kinley and I in Omaha for a long weekend. We went to a nice dinner the first night and spent time playing in the hotel and hotel pool. Saturday we got up and joined every other person in Omaha at the Henry Doorley Zoo. It was beyond packed! I will have to make a second trip up there to really experience the zoo... On a Wednesday! Either way, it was a fun packed weekend! Thanks Dad and Millie!

Perkins Estes Park Vacation

This summer we were lucky enough to go on a family vacation with Josh's family. Josh's mom, Mary Lynn and dad, Don and the three of us left Friday and drove through the night to Denver to meet up with Josh's brother, Brad and his wife Julie.

In the nearly 8 years that we have been together, we have never been on a family vacation with his side. I was so incredibly excited! We decided on a very long weekend trip to Estes Park and stay in cabins along the Big Thompson River. It was an absolute blast spending time with his family going on hikes, shopping, and playing games in our cabins!

Stupid blogger and Photo Dump

I spent months trying to get my blogger app fixed. All of a sudden, it will post but nothing I have typed over the past 5 months is saved. Ugh!!!

My dear Kinley,

  You have changed so much in the last few months! You are literally running all over the place and getting into everything! You can easily reach the tops of tables, most countertops, door handles, and can get in and out of the bath tub without any help (eek!)! You are happily turning our whole world upside down... And we love it
