Fun Times

For those of you who know me well, know that I don't drink anymore. For no other reason besides the fact that I cannot hold my alcohol anymore. It's pathetic. However, Friday night we had date night (sort of) with Brad & Julie and Bryan & Angie. We went to Nikko's Japanese Steakhouse in Overland Park. This is the restaurant that we went to after we got engaged, four years ago. I must have forgotten (or not even noticed) how insanely expensive it is. Oops. Anyway, we enjoyed a great evening and then headed to "The Other Place" for a nightcap. Now, in most situations, I would be driving because I'm the unspoken DD (and not because I'm "with child"). This particular evening I decided to drink. SO. MUCH. FUN. I totally forgot how fun drinking is (not getting wasted, but...)! So I decided to post some pictures from the night. And I am posting all of the terrible pics of me, because they are hilarious. Enjoy!

Shaggin' Wagon

Well today, Josh and I officially became part of the geriatric crowd. We bought...wait for it...a station wagon. No, really. It is awesome! Why wouldn't everyone buy a station wagon? They are SO practical! The reason for our purchase, you might ask, is because with our two precious dogs in the car, there was no room for any people in the back seat. We needed more room.

Although it is definitely a station wagon, we love it. It is a Ford Taurus X.

Best part? The room, of course!

I found a hilarious picture online of a little boy and his dad curled up asleep on the back platform. I am thinking that if the two of them can fit, Bella and Dakota should be more than comfortable. So pumped about our geriatric Shaggin' Wagon! Look for my KSU license plate cruising around Independence, MO!

Chiefs Home Playoffs

Sunday morning, we got up early and headed out to Arrowhead. The more important fact is that I had previously bought new leather Gore Tex boots, battery powered socks, and coveralls. The best part about wearing all of this "stuff" was not necessarily how warm I was (when I'm historically so incredibly cold), but how FAT I looked. I mean, I look like a linebacker in these photos. Ahh, the things I'll do to keep warm. No JoCo girl here!

Kendell and Chris drove up to attend the game with us in the SECOND ROW of the endzone! It was incredible! I will never sit in the nosebleeds again. Really. It was worth the money!

Best part of the game was when Jamaal Charles ran for a touchdown and was only about 10 SEATS away from us catching him! It was absolutely amazing! They were right in front of us.

Unfortunately, that was the best and last play to go in our favor. We did not play very well and we lost to the Baltimore Ravens, who played very well.

And because I'm a fan of The Blind Side...here is my shout out to Michael Oher. Glad you played well Mr. Oher but I wish so badly that you, Anquan Boldin, and Ray Rice would have had explosive diarrhea on Saturday. We love you anyways.

PS To those of you who have inquired about Christmas photos, I will not be posting any this year. Sorry. My computer at home and our internet have retaliated against me and will not allow me to post pictures or for that matter, be connnected to the internet long enough to even read my own blog. Boo AT&T, you suck.
