Little Ledger

Today has been a fantastic day! Little Ledger has really filled out and is looking very handsome! We have gotten to spend some really good quality time with him while we've been here. He has been feeding from his mommy and has been taken off almost all of his external devices...PIC lines, IVs, ventilation hood. The only thing he needs is a heart monitor.

He is getting more of a personality every day and looks different every minute. Each time we go in to see him, he seems to be more alert and aware of people around him. His eyes are almost always open except for when he's eating! We are truly blessed and feel so full of love for this little guy! I am such a proud aunt! I cannot wait to get a picture of all of my nephews together... I will definitely be the aunt with all of the pictures in my wallet! :)

OS Banquet

Olathe South Banquet
This was Josh's first year as the OS baseball head coach so it was also his first time doing the presenting at the banquet. He did a fantastic job! We didn't get to hand out certificates/letters since its mid-season so we will have another one at the very end of the year.
This is a photo of the seniors with their bats that they received for their last year.
It is also a picture that includes Adam Olerich and Josh...the Varsity coaches!

Pavers Stone... God's punishment to us.

Our goal for the summer is to make our backyard presentable and functional.
Pavers Stones: Much more tedious than its worth...so far.

Best part: dogs playing - NOT IN MUD

Twitter what?

So on my favorite gossip website (www.bricksandstonesgossip.com) they are always referring to "twitter"... "twittering", "twittered", "twits"...etc. So, with my vast knowledge of the modern technology, I used Google to find out what it was. I created an account and found that it was the ultimate stocking device. As far as I can tell, it seems that all you do is constantly update your status of what you are doing all day long.

Two things:
1. People, get a job, life, or something resembling one of the two. There are very few people in the world that we care about their every move. You are not one of them.
2. If society is so worried about identities being stolen and our privacy, why would you think it is a good idea to tell people where you are going, what you are doing, when you will be out of your house, where you just bought overpriced shoes, where you're going to dinner...

Final thought and conclusion: DUMB

Yard work, yard, work, and more yard work

YARD WORK
First we started with building up our garden...
Which lead to buying plants that we are growing inside.
Here is the start of our garden.

Next, we started with the back yard.
We have been trying to figure out a way to prevent our little
girls from digging under the back fence.
Our solution: landscaping.
Since we have a nice arch in the middle of the yard,
we had a job ahead of us.
Turns out that from left to right, there is about a 2 foot difference in heights.

Eventually, there will be beautiful flowers, trees, shrubs, and maybe
even an easy path to mow around!

We will keep you posted! :)

Sushi and Game Night

With my parents in town for the weekend, we decided to introduce them to a tradition we have developed: sushi and game night.

Neither one of my parents have ever had sushi and were very wary...

We also invited Blake, Lindsey, and Randy... Thanks guys for a great night! :)
